Who we are

In 1948, Florian Frühstückl Sr. and his wife founded a shop for sports and traditional clothing in Kirchengasse, Tamsweg. 75 years later, this 24m² store has grown into an institution in Lungau with 5 locations and 50 employees (during winter).

Intersport Frühstückl is your sports equipment specialty store from Obertauern to Tamsweg all the way to Katschberg. Our experts provide competent advice on everything from functional underwear to new skis or bikes. We emphasize diversity, which is why you'll find equipment for a wide range of sports activities: hiking, mountaineering, climbing, fitness, mountain biking, tennis, soccer, trail running, inline skating, children's bicycles, skiing, ski touring, snowboarding, ice skating, camping, and much more.

Our Tamsweg location is open year-round and is our all-rounder: all sports, many brands, and Intersport Rent under one roof. The Katschberg location offers bike rentals in the summer and ski rentals in the winter, as well as a selection of clothing and accessories. The Obertauern locations are open only during the winter, providing you with the latest skis and suitable equipment.

Sustainability is important to us. We not only equip you with new gear, but we also take care of your previously acquired equipment. We service bikes and skis/snowboards with great care and professionalism: our Wintersteiger ski service machine services about 25k pairs of skis/snowboards per season.

We value sustainability among our customers as well and express our gratitude for their loyalty with attractive promotions for our regulars. Additionally, we organize numerous events that are highly popular throughout the region. For example, the Kids Cup, a ski racing series for children, and the annual Glücksradl (Lucky Wheel) event, where you might even get to shop for free with a bit of luck.
